- I have a Zoltrix 28.8 and a Pentium 100 running Windows 95.
- The Connect to box usually tells me that I'm connecting with
- either 28800 or 26400. Twice, I have seen 57600. Should
- I be expecting 57600 every time? Is that really twice as
- good as 28800, or is there some other meaning?
-
- When I'm downloading files with Netscape, I generally get
- really fast download times initially (relatively speaking,
- anyways), like 11-12 KB/s. Then it slows down to 1.6-3 KB/s
- (depending on the site, of course).
-
- When I'm downloading files from my shell account, I
- get speeds of about 38000 bps with sz. Again, is
- that what I should be expecting?
-
- I just want to know if I'm getting maximum value out of
- my equipment.
-
- thanks,
